Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.
This warrior group features Teor (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.
This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.
What Defines the Combat Party
Per the DM, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.
At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear mismatched, but the events of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then cleared his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, wants retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and warns that it is a nasty place.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their status as important members in the influential clan could help the team reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are known criminals.
- Tyranny and Wicander turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This means them little choice but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.
